Celluloid Heroes

I'm constantly searching for new style inspirations. In magazines, on web blogs, from street sightings, etc. But my absolute favorite source of inspiration has to be the silver screen. So many stylish characters have sparked my interest over the decades, I could talk about them ad nauseam! Below are my all-time top five.

Margot Tenenbaum - The Royal Tenenbams

Her style is best described as consistently quirky. I love her fur coat, vintage Le Tigre dresses and heavily-lined eyes.

Susan - Desperately Seeking Susan

The look that launched a million wannabes. This was definitely a "more is more" style approach, especially in regards to the use of hair products and accessories. Brilliant!

Holly Golightly - Breakfast at Tiffany's

After all these years, every outfit is perfectly classy & chic.
Mr. Givenchy sure knew his shit!

Cher Horowitz - Clueless

Cher's cute, coordinated outfits were always impeccable...thanks to her computer programmed closet!

Carrie Bradshaw - Sex and the City

The best of the best! Carrie's hybrid style of designer & vintage spawned several mainstream trends: nameplate necklaces, Fendi bags, Manolos, Louboutins, flower pins...the list goes on! Sure, she had her "what the heck is she wearing?" moments, but that only made her style seem more attainable.
